We have had even more feedback this year &.... Even Better !!Rated 98% on Runners World We recveived over 172 emails of thanks from those who ran, that means that 1 in 6 runners have taken the time to email and not one bad email amongst them, Runners are such nice people !! Below are a few links and just a small selection of some of the comments ..... Thank you to all who took the time to email me Just a Selection of email comments..... My Word! Is that all?Just a quick email to say thank you so much for a really good race, the whole experience was very refreshing; great pre race communication, great venue, faclities were spot on and plentiful. The atmoshpere was fun and runners (even slow old birds like me) were cheered on by enthusiastic and charming marshalls. What more could we ask for. I have emailed the Run in Wirral (we only had 4 of us at the race yesterday) and told them all to make it a firm date for 2013.Thanks again,Catharine Hi AdrianThe race is one of the best 10ks I have had the pleasure of running in. You can tell you care about the race and the runners just by the t-shirts ,as its one of the best ones I have and I have a few !John told me on the day just how much hard work you do to get the race up and running . I wish I lived alot closer so I could help!John Hi Adrian,Just to say thank you for a great day yesterday, and encouraging me to join "Nodge" on my 1st ever run, I've really got the bug now, I'm surprised I was able to run all the way, it felt great to be in such a well organised event for my 1st run. Just enrolled on another 10k run on 2nd May at DK, near home, Yet again, Cheers Adrian, you looked as if you were having a very stressful day yesterday.Alan Hi, Excellent event and 1st time I haven't given away my race T shirt in 20 years - pretty good goody bag too. Excellent overall value! Just a quick 'e' to say thank you and well done on the Mad Dog 2012. It's the friendliest and best organised race in the running calendar, and I include the VLM and GNR in that. It's even within walking distance of our house. Which is nice too...Best Regards, Derek Hello Just want to say that I was really looking forward to yesterday's race in Southport and it lived up to expectations so thank you to you and the rest of the team, sponsors etc for a great experience. The whole Mad Dog 10k brand - theming, graphics, fun, spirit, pragmatic attitude - is brilliant and the course and conditions could not have been better yesterday for the serious runners and fun-runners alike! .......It all reflects a hell of a lot of thought, skills and pure hard work in the run up and on the day so congratulations and thank you.I am bracing myself for serious t-shirt and medal envy as I recommend the race to all my fellow teammates so I really hope that after you've all recovered, you'll start planning a 2013 event! We're also looking to conscript some crazy pups to get some adult non-runners involved as well as the little guys! All the best Claire Thank u for a fantastic event. I am a very slow runner and finished in the last few runners. I never once felt disheartened for most of the time running on my own as the marshalls were really encouraging and I enjoyed posing for the photographs and I did get a new PB. Thanks for the brilliant goody bag, the race was such good fun & so well organised - will defo be back next year.Jean Adrian Just wanted to thank you & your team for an excellent race yesterday!I thought that the organisation was superb & the goody bag was very generous! Although I had to make the long journey down from Durham, I would like to think that I could take part in your race again! Thanks also for sticking to your timings re. Presentation of awards;Well done & thanks again! Best wishes,Paul Hi thereCongratulations to you and your team, it was an excellent event , very well run and a pleasure to participate in .The atmosphere was very friendly and there seemed to be some serious runners there also, when signing up I did notice the cost of entering (have competed in some very low key/cost events) but it was well worth every penny. I have not competed in very many specific running events but this was by far the most organised and professional that I have been to and I would not hesitate for a moment to enter next year !Within an hour or two my time was sent to my mobile number, the fact that the timing chip was on the back of the race number was also a well thought out you clearly know what you are doing.I am proud that a 10K of that quality is in my home town and it can only be good for Southport. PS - your enthusiastic emails have been brill. hi adrian, just a few lines to thank you for a GRReat time on sunday, i got up early and left the pound in foggy weather which was a bit worrying but it didn't rain so all was well, arrived early and soon sniffed out the excellent t shirt and the start, i gave a loud howl with the pack and soon and we were off, nice flat fast course, a good mix of man's best friends, loads of encouragement from the marshalls (good boy, keep going) and soon we were on the homeward leg to receive the best doggy bag i've ever had which sent my tail wagging all the way home, a bowl full of food and drink plus medal to remind me of a GRReat day, (mutley loves a medal) hugh Excellent event in all ways ( organisation , facilities , value, marshals , t-shirt , medal , communications ) . Fantastic and will certainly run again and recommend it to others.I just wanted to say thanks. Me and my friend did last run as well. Made such a difference having the road to run on and not worry about traffic for the first 5k. Just a shame you can't get fleetwood rd closed because the pavements are so narrow down there.Xx Jo Just wanted to say thanks for organising a great race yesterday. The course was good, it was really well organised, the t-shirt is great and I loved the free fruit! Also, thanks for arranging the weather to be slightly warmer...much appreciated!Best wishes,Rachel Dear Mr Mad Dog organiserI would like to say thank you to you and your team for organising this race. From a runners perspective it was easy to find the venue, good parking, good facilities and a fast course. From all the runners at Goyt Valley Striders, this was our the first race of our Club Championship 2012 and 18 of us travelled the 60 miles from Derbyshire to Southport. Five of the runners have confirmed 10k personal bests but I think this figure will probably rise to at least half of us.We even had our race results texted to us before we arrived home. Congratulations on hosting this event, the organisation of the race was first class ....Hope to see you again next year Regards, Stephen Adrian..MASSIVE well done for the superb organisation of the race..No complaints whatsover ;o)Marshals were all friendly ....Roads safe.....Course well thought through......Well policed......Medics on hand and visible Queues kept to a minimum.....Good bags and t shirts faultless......EXCELLENT - GIANT pat on the back to you and your team. How a 10k should be done..I shall be giving you rave reviews on runners world. I loved it, and I got myself a PB. And, the Tshirt is awesome too.Looking forward to 2013!Well done,Anna Dear Adrian and all of the Mad Dog team,What more can I say? Brilliant!Thank you so much for putting on such a thoroughly enjoyable and well organised event.Without exception, every single member of the Mad Dog team deserves the utmost credit for helping to make yesterday such a great day. The pre-race organisation was spot on, the marshals around the course were friendly and helpful (and most importantly motivational!) and the pack of runners, as always, a fantastic crowd. The spectator support was also great.I really do applaud the ethos of this race, having raised funds for such deserving charities whilst providing runners and their families with a great day out. Once again, huge thanks, and congratulations on a truly successful and worthwhile event.I, for one, will be back next year howling at the start! All the bestJames Quick word to say a huge thank you. The race was even better than last year - something I did not think possible. I was uncertain how the larger numbers would affect the organisation, but it was all wonderful, the best race in the region! The marshalls are all fantastic, the route was great, and the goody bag was unsurpassable!!! Fantastic, thanks!! I look forward to next year!!All the bestClaire Hi Adrian... 2 of us with wives came over from Yorks for an overnight and the run, enjoyed both and were all well impressed with the set up and the vibe.. I was the bloke with the toy dog on a lead ... if you see it .. we've decided to name it Kip ... after Kip Kenyo.. Big thanks for all those who put hard work to pull it off. Look forward to the photos.. cheers and Woof Woof... Rich AdrianGreat day today, I travelled down from the Lakes and well worth the effort. It was a smashing atmosphere, superb organisation (except the T-shirt queue), great marshalling and a perfect fast route. All the bestSimon Hi Pack Leader, I have never run a race before despite having been running for around 5 years now. My friend's husband asked me to run with him and his son. Despite not running since last August I made it!!! I thought your emails, the organisation, the legend , the support of the marshalls was terrific- I hope to be back nxt year with a better time, but the best LOL moment was the feedback from the goody bag stuffing- Nigel and the 'yoghurt'- quite ab fab,so with perked ears, a wag of my tail- yelp and squeal, till nxt year, and thanks a million woofs,Mel xx Just wanted to drop you a line to say how much I enjoyed today's race. Having read the review in Runners World I thought I'd give it a whirl and was not disappointed. Well organised from pre race day communication through to the race itself. Only glitch a slight muscle pull hampering my time significantly. Many Thanks for a cracking day. See you next year!Alan Many thanks for a wonderful event today. Fantastic organisation and excellent communication throughout.Really enjoyed it although I am suffering now. Good luck with your marathons.RegardsVin Thanks for an excellent race! I for one really appreciate all that you do, I can only imagine the time it must take and all of the headaches that go with it.This was my second Mad Dog 10k, last year we suffered the worst of the weather but this time it could not have been more different, perfect. Another feather in your cap, you even organised the weather this year! Please pass on my thanks and I am looking forward to details for next year.Best regards, Mark Great event again, thoroughly enjoyed it and even set a PB into the bargain! Many thanks to the organising team, all marshalls and everyone that helped to make the event go smoothly. Great atmosphere with a really friendly feel to the day. T-shirts are great too. Even the weather was relatively kind to us. Looking forward to next year's race already. Well done!David I just wanted to comment on how well organised today's race was, the route was lovely the stewards were friendly and motivating, and the email updates right up till race day were very very helpful. Will definitely recommend it and do it next year.Kind regards, Nicola Dear all concerned!! Thank you so much for a fantastically well organised event. I am sure that by the time the race starts, you wonder if it is all worth the effort. Well, it most certainly is. We cannot think of one thing that could be improved! The marshals are great and full of encouragement, maybe, we should be the ones cheering them, for standing in the cold, whilst we wander past having a chat. The venue is fab. So, once again, thank you to all that made this event the enjoyable and memorable time that it is.See you next year.....Simon & Amanda Hi Adrian,I have commented on runners world but would also like to tell you personally how fantastic the run was yesterday.
